Lucas Chauke - Founding Partner & Office Manager Mbombela
Lucas joined Chauke Quantity Surveyors in August 1995 after having served as acting head of the Department of Public Works in the Limpopo Province.
Lucas is a former external examiner of the Department of Quantity Surveying at the University of Port Elizabeth and is a former council member of the University of Natal.
In 2000 Lucas was President of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors where he campaigned to promote the profession internationally. He also served as the President of the Council of South African Quantity Surveyors from 1987 – 2004 and on the Council of South African Architects from 2001 – 2005. He is also a member of the Council of the Built Environment Profession and was recently awarded the “Chancellor’s Gold Medal for Meritorious Service” from the Vaal University of Technology.
